Christmas in old Texas town

Well, gang, Another year has flown by and we look toward a CRAZY one with poor Obama at the helm. I wouldn't want that job for all the money in the world. I'm back from our exhausting jaunt out to Scottsdale to get tuned up (the sparkplugs cleaned) and a little Botox (and it wasn't for my wrinkles, doggoneit!). You guys have had snow and ice and we've had winds (gusting up to 75 mph) and not nearly enough rain but I think I've got enough hay to last until the end of Feb. Am starting to look for a dog to get me going on my exercise routine. The KiteRunner is a great movie to see (just remember it has subtitles) but you get used to them. Well, HAPPY NEW YEAR, YOU'ALL. Christmas Pictures 2008

Merry Christmas Jones Family

To all the Jones Family,
Grandpa wrote all the Christmas Cards this year so I'll Email my Christmas Thoughts. Work this retail has been slow. Who needs to smell good everyone is just glad to have a job! It doesn't seem like Christmas as no little are excited about presents but weather is pretty good and Dad and I have good health. We worry about our kids health. The world is changing for the good with my new president! We should look out for each other as that is the only way our country will have PEACE! Dad and I have a lifeline of GOOD memories raising our children and only want for them and their families the best! Merry Christmas and remember all the hopes and dreams and how much your parents tried to give it all to you.

Merry Christmas!!!
LOVE MOM Jones

Darcie & Dustin at Dallas Stars Hockey game

Dustin & Darcie went to a Dallas Stars Hockey game with Darcie's work & got to watch from a suite. Then we went down to the front row & banged on the glass. It was a fun night! Dustin was visiting for Thanksgiving & lucked out that Darcie had extra tickets. Darcie's best friend, Sarah, also got to bring her little brother Matt, who Dustin has known since grade school.

I love this picture of lindsey in Chicago on election night. The crowd, the look, the atmosphere is surreal but makes me think of how this time the youth vote came out to make a change. I think this is quite a good picture. Plus the guy behind Lindsey looks like Napoleon Dynomite. Ha ha.  Any thoughts about that night from the family?
Ziggy was bad this summer. He would drop his ball in the pond then jump in after it again and again. He also tried to eat the fish.......bad dog!!!

Jim put a CUBS hat on Ziggy this summer!

Me and Shawn took the el (Brown Line train) to downtown where we were a part of history and got to see all the energy and excitement as Obama became our new president elect! Thousands of people were there with Oprah, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Spike Lee. Everyone was hugging and crying, it didn't matter what race, gender or sexual orientation, we were all one and all greatful to be a part of this historic night......I will attach a couple videos, one of them is everyone singing the Star Spangled Banner, chills.....

Marranda Update

Hey Everybody, just thought I'd write to let you all know what's going on with Marranda. She's been in preschool this fall. She loves going to school. They took a trip to the firehouse in Clinton and to a pumpkin patch last week. Her speech has gotten so much better since she started school. I want to let you know that Mary has been working very hard so that Marranda can go home again. James and I both feel that she's done a good job. We firmly believe that it is in Marranda's best interest to be with her Mom. Marranda is set to go home around Christmas time. She misses her mommy a lot and is ready to go home. ~Beth
