Summer update

Hi Jones clan,

Summer is going by so quickly... starting my master's program at University of Illinois at Chicago this fall. The program is a Master's in Education. I want to do secondary eduation, translation: I'll be a HS teacher with my endorsements in history, psychology and business. I'll be able to coach track and cross country and dance, if everything works out. In October, I will be moving closer to my job downtown, it will be in the city closer to the lake, either lakeview, boystown or wrigleyville. (Uncle John, didn't you live off of Barry St. I love that neighborhood!) I will also be starting DANCE yes DANCE classes soon with Hubbard St. Dance Company! At the UIC Forum where I work, we will be holding events for the Olympics and Barack Obama! (Progress 2008 (:!!!) Very exciting....

Just a day at 8281

Well, hello, all---Great to see there's been some activity on the blogspot. CONGRATULATIONS on Marissa turning 16 and getting on the road!
CONGRATULATIONS on Chris' monumental accomplishment. (Just hope this economy will let you enjoy the fruits of your labor! Great pictures of Dad's wingding. Yes, it went way too fast once again. Miss you all and wish we could get together and just talk without a rush always. Things are going on in each of your groups and it's hard to keep them straight. The Texas heat is bearing down on us with 100+ for the last 2 weeks with 7 more days forecast. Emily and I were attacked by wasps (she got 15 stings and 1 got 10). Went to hospital for Benadryl shots. The little devils came out of nowhere. Patrick has scored another contract job sculpting Freddy Krueger entire body cast for Universal Studios. It gives him more time to hunt for THAT job. Angie and Roger have put their house up for sale as they want to move back to Illinois. What-- they don't like this stifleing heat? Imagine that! The pasture/back yard fence is done and boy does it look nice. And even won't blow down in a strong wind. Whoopee!
Here's a tip for a good fun movie -- Mama Mia with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan singing. Beth and I went to see it and it's alot of fun. Thanks again to everyone for such a big effort during June especially James and Beth for caring for Marranda and Chris and Tom and Jessica for taking in a teenager into their already hectic lives. That's above and beyond.
I'll try to post some pix of swimming with Emily and Beth, me and Angie exitting the pool FAST when Beth decided there was a frog in with us. (ha, ha) bird
