Well, here we go again!

I actually remembered to check the BLOG. It's good to see so many of you are attempting to keep it going. Kudos for Chris in taking the time out to let us know what's going on. I never think anything I do is worth bothering you guys about. Like . . . we repaired the electric fence, got a load of hay, harrowed the pasture, started taking down the bathroom wallpaper (a miserable job), babysat "Emmy", saw "Defiance" (great movie), went to Stock Show, etc., etc. See boring. Hope you're doing OK, John and you got the picture. What will all of you be doing on Obama's inauguration day? It's quite a historic occasion! Love, Bird

I cant wait for the new president!!!. I did find out from Lindsey that the first dance that Michelle and Barrack are dancing to is Etta James "AT LAST" and anyone that knows me knows I have loved Etta James for years and listen to her all the time. I wasn't feeling well so I was home on my couch watching the historic occasion. I taped it to, not like I will watch it over & over again, but it might be something neat to have. I heard that they made Obama re-do the oath of office since he kind of stuttered & messed up the first go round. Now that Bush is moving to Dallas, I hope I run into him so that I can throw my shoes at him. Just kidding! That's hilarious though. Check out the youtube video if you haven't seen it.

I also saw the movie 'Defiance' & I agree with Aunt Bird that it was pretty good, definitely worth seeing. Amazing that it was based on a true story. Something for everyone with lots of action & a love story.

I was at school being observed right when the oath was administered. I finally saw the inauguration at 9:00 when I got home, and could not believe that the Justice stammered and Barack had to restate his name. It seemed like they could have practiced it before the big day? I loved Michelle's off the shoulder white dress, and Obama dancing(He had mentioned earlier that he was a
better dancer than McCain, on the Ellen show)I hope something happens fast, I work hard all week long and then never have enough to make it stretch till the end of the month.I am glad you have Chance to take on walks, but I know you will always have those special memories with Max.
